January Supporters Alliance Meeting Cancelled

Sadly we have received the below email communication from Yeovil Town FC regarding the Supporters Alliance meeting that was planned for tomorrow evening:

“Due to unforeseen circumstances David Mills can no longer attend the Alliance Meeting tomorrow. As the EFL regulation states that there should be an Owner/Director from the Board or a Senior Executive in attendance and due to the short notice, there is no one available to attend in David’s absence, we therefore will be cancelling the meeting.”

“We are well within the EFL framework of how many times we meet in the season therefore I suggest that we don’t reschedule this meeting we just pick up again, as planned, on the second Wednesday in February. Please can you advise your availability for that date.”

“We apologise for the late notice, and for any inconvenience.”

The Club have offered assurances that the cancellation is purely an availability issue and it is simply a case of David not being available and there not being anybody else available at the later time (7pm). The Club Secretary has also advised that the Club very much support the Alliance and its progress so far, and will continue to do so.

As you can imagine the Trust Board are incredibly frustrated by the cancellation and the notice provided, particularly given that it was an opportunity for the Club to re-engage with the Supporters Alliance for the first time since the infamous meeting on the 11th of December.

The next meeting is scheduled to take place on the evening of Wednesday the 6th of February.
