MANIFESTOS FOR TRUST BOARD NOMINEES PUBLISHED

With the nomination period having elapsed, it has been confirmed that there will be 13 Trust members standing for election to the first Glovers Trust Board of Directors. The manifestos of each nominee standing for election can be found here.

Key information regarding the election and voting process can be found below:

  • The Trust Board will be comprised of 10 posts. These being Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Treasurer, Membership Secretary and 6 additional Board Member positions. These will be appointed from the 13 Trust members who have put themselves forward for election.
  • Each member of the Trust is entitled to vote, nominating the 10 candidates that they wish to be elected to the Board. A member need not cast all ten of their votes.
  • Persons wishing to participate in the vote must ensure that they have submitted and paid their membership subscription no later than Tuesday 13th of September 2016.
  • Voting will be conducted on the night of the AGM. Members are advised to arrive at the AGM on time as any member arriving late may miss the opportunity to cast their vote.
  • A member can nominate the Trust Secretary, or another Trust member to vote on their behalf. This is known as a proxy vote.
    • To appoint a proxy, the proxy voting form must be completed and signed, and posted to PO Box 5240, Yeovil, Somerset, BA20 9FR for the attention of the Trust Secretary.
    • Forms that have been signed, scanned and emailed to the Trust Secretary will also be accepted.
    • Forms should arrive no later than Tuesday 13th of September 2016.  Any proxy applications
      received after this date will not be authorised.
  • The voting, subsequent count and announcement of elections results, which will all be conducted on the night of the AGM, will be carried out by an independent Election Working Party – Augusta Westland Apprentices and Students Association.
  • Results will be published on the Glovers Trust website (www.glovers-trust.co.uk) as soon as possible after the results are announced.
  • The newly elected Board will meet soon after the date of the AGM, and subsequently communicate their aims and intentions to the Trust members and wider community.
